AISSEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Age limit AISSEE 2020-21 Eligibility Criteria for taking admission in Sainik school as on March 2020 is as follows:
For class 6th, age should be between 10 to 12 years
For class 9th, age should be between 13 to 15 years

There will be an entrance test for admission to classes VI as well as IX. Boys, those who are between the age of 10 to 12 years and 13 to 15 years respectively on 31st March of the year are fit enough to give the entrance test. Those who are looking for attaining admission to class IX, their boys are required to study in Class VIII from some recognized school. Admission is based on merit only for classes VI and IX. Important to remember point is that only boys aspirants are eligible enough to attain admission in Sainik School all over the nation.

Sainik School Admission 2020 Exam Test Details:

The Sainik School Admission 2020-21 written test will take place in the month of January. Other details can be acquired from the exam conducting schools. Because of the change in the format, the total number of questions in classes VI and IX may get changed. For class VI, the language will be English/ Hindi/ Local Language of the State and for class XI, the question paper will appear in the English language only.

AISSEE 2020 Reservation:

15% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and 7½% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes.
67% seats are reserved for boys from the State in which Sainik School is situated and the rest of the 33% seats are for boys from other States and Union Territories in the ratio of their male population.
In case, if the seats are left / unused then they will be merged with home states followed by the order of merit.
25% of seats will be reserved for children belonging to service personnel such as Ex-servicemen
AISSEE 2020 Exam Pattern:

Class 6th OMR based exam will be held in Hindi & English. Class 9th exam will be on English, Student will give the answer in English.

The total number of questions will be 125 for Class 6th, the number of Marks will be 300.

For the class 6th, Mathematics will be 50 Questions, 25 questions will GK, 25 questions will be for Language and Intelligence will have 25 questions.

The question paper will be 400 marks for class 9th, Mathematics will be 50 Marks, Language will be 25 Questions, 25 questions for General Science and 25 questions for Social Studies.

The Entrance Examination will be held for admission to class VI & IX. Boys who are between the age of 10 to 12 years and 13 to 15 years respectively on 31st March of the year in which admission is sought are eligible to take the Entrance Exam. For admission to Class IX, the boys should be studying in Class VIII in a recognized school. Admission will be made strictly in order of merit only in classes VI and IX.

This year, Korukonda Sainik School and Kalikiri Sainik School Entrance Examination Notification 2017-18 has been issued on October 09, 2016 by the Korukonda Sainik School Officials for admission into Classes VI & IX in Sainik School, Korukonda, Vizianagaram District and admission into Class VI & IX in Sainik School, Kalikiri, Chittoor District. About: Sainik Schools are wholly residential schools run on public school lines. All the Sainik Schools are also members of the All India Public Schools Conference. They offer a common curriculum and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. 1. For Admission to class VI: Only those candidates who have completed 10 years but not crossed 11 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission are eligible. For admission to Class VI for 2017-2018 session, the candidates should have been born between 02nd July 2006 and 01st July 2007 (both days inclusive)i.e.,Born not before 02 Jul 2006 and not after 01 Jul 2007. Boys are admitted to Class VI according to the seats available at the beginning of the year. The admission will be made on the basis of an "All India Sainik Schools, Entrance Examination". The Examination for the forthcoming academic session will be held on 15 January 2017 (Sunday). The applications are required to be submitted by 18th November 2016.
2. For Admission to class IX: Only those candidates who have completed 13 years but not crossed 14 years as on 01st July of the year of admission are eligible for admission to Class IX. For 2017-2018 session, the candidates should have been born between 02nd July 2003 and 01st July 2004 (both days inclusive) and should have passed class VIII from a recognised school before admission. The boys are admitted according to the seats available at the beginning of the year. (Born not before 02-July, 2003 and not after 01-July, 2004 and should be studying in class VII in a recognized school).

MEDICAL EXAM GUIDELINES:

Guidelines for Medical Examination of Boys seeking admission into Sainik Schools:-

1.  Eye: Please refer para - 36 & 37 of School Prospectus.
2.  Ear: He should be able to hear a forced whisper with each ear from a distance of 610 cms. Presence of wax in the ear is a temporary rejection. Tympanic Memberane should be intact & mobile. it should note have any perforation.
3.  Heart: There should not be any kind of murmur in the heart.
4.  Lungs: There should not be any evidence of past or present disease.
5.  General: There should not be any bodily deformity. He should not have flat foot, knock knees, chest deformity, polydactaly etc. However, Height and Weight are not taken into cognisance as they are variable at this tender age.

Note :- Above Registration Fee (as category-wise applicable) will be remitted to the school by depositing at any State Bank of India Branch through Challan Form attached with the Application Form. After depositing the fee in the State Bank of India, School copy of Challan will be sent alongwith the Application Form and Applicant copy of Challan will be retained by the candidate for future reference. Please note that no Bank Drafts/Cheques/Pay orders /IPOs will be accepted by the school alongwith the Application Form.

 Written Examination Centres Subject to availability of sufficient candidates, written examination Centres will be at Almora, Bareilly, Dehradun, Ghorakhal, Ghorakhpur, Kotdwar, Lucknow, Pithoragarh, Roorkee, Srinagar (Garhwal) and Rudrapur (Udham Singh Nagar). Allotment of examination Centre will be at the discretion of the school.

 How to apply
 Application form of All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination for Class VI and IX for the session 2016-17 will be available free of cost at the school counter wef 12 Oct 2015 to 21 Nov 2015. The application form can also be downloaded from the School website www.ssghorakhal.org upto 21 Nov 2015. Desirous candidates may send self addressed envelope 11”x 5” affixed with postage stamp of Rs 27/- for obtaining application form from the school.
